”Extraordinary Tour 2010”

We always get fired-up around here when brothers Blake and Anthony Bennett send us a print job. Their fresh contemporary designs and photos separate them from many singing groups, not to mention their talent. We just printed a small run of 500 schedule postcards for them. Looks like they have 3/4 of their tour left.

If you have not yet heard these guys in concert you need to check out their website and their FaceBook page.

You can buy CDs on their store page...

Hot of the press: In The Click

”It’s time for girls night out!”

Shirley and Mallary from In The Click just sent out invitations for their Girls Night Out gathering using our direct mail service. Postcards print on 14 gloss card stock that look almost as “pretty” as their store. We’ve bragged about this business before here in the blog. They are truly a unique ladies’ store.

The clock on the card was photographed by Mike Stanley. He had to get up at 5:55am to pull that shot off. Winking

We wish you ladies the best at your “girls night out.”

Hot of the press: Land of Velocity

”Stock car racing through the lens of Medieval jousting.”

Lady Ann, court artist, aka; Ann Boyer LePere will be displaying selected paintings from her remarkable “Land of Velocity” collection at the Raleigh Convention Center, August 4 - October 5, 2010. As many of you know, any canvas within a mile radius of “Lady Ann” transforms into a stunning work of art. Ann stopped in for some 5.5x8.5 promo postcards for her show. Make sure you check out Land of Velocity.

Here’s a little clip from the back of the postcards.
The Land of Velocity paintings and stories comprise an allegorical look at stock car racing through the lens of Medieval jousting. Located a slight dimensional shift off I40, in western, NC, this whimsical land is filled with folks who are passionate about their sport. From King Richard of Petty to aspiring young competitors; from colorful fans to hauler drivers; from gypsy souvenier caravans to track owners - everyone breaths jousting.

Passion and pagentry. Grit, speed and noise. Family traditions. Friendships...All in the Land of Velocity.

Look for the sticker!

The Water to Wine Project is branching out into Carteret County this month. Chris Johns, founder of W2WP and owner of RuckerJohns Restaurant told us area restaurants are signing-up daily. Make sure you look for the blue window sticker on the front doors of participating restaurants.

The Print Fish is currently designing and printing a calling card so diners can easily reach out to restaurants who are not yet aware of the program.

Event: Portofino Restaurant Ribbon Cutting

Port 1

A “big” ribbon cutting!

Emerald Isle’s Portofino Ristorante & Wine Bar teamed up with their neighbor Crystal Coast Tent and Event Rentals for a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting. Our very own Samantha Coffin (print production planner) was on the scene and grabbed a couple of snap shots. Her food critique this morning was packed with a bunch of “Oh, my gosh!”. “It was out of this world!” Looks like I missed a good one.

The Print Fish does a little design and printing for Ryan Ayre the General Manager of both Portofino and Kathryn’s Bistro & Martini Bar. He’s the guy in the blue shirt and tie in the photo above.

Portofino Ristorante & Wine Bar offers superb Italian cuisine and a spectacular selection of wine from around the world. When on vacation on the Crystal Coast a meal at Portofino Ristorante & Wine Bar is a must. Their wine list offers international selections, by bottle or by the glass. The by-the-glass list changes regularly and is designed with flights in mind, to help guests explore several different wines during their visit. Make Portofino Ristorante & Wine Bar a vacation tradition you and your family will remember forever.

Hot off the press: Called-to-Serve

Called-to-Serve Mailing Campaign

Letters printed on Mohawk 100% recycled post-consumer waste.

How we crossed paths with Called-to-Serve is a long story...Called-to-Serve is a non-profit, non-denominational, organization from the USA but on the ground in Tanzania, Africa. I was blessed to join this ministry in Africa with Chris Johns of The Water to Wine Project last November. I witnessed first-hand how God is working through some of the most giving and sacrificial followers of Christ you’ll ever meet.

I would encourage anyone to snoop around the CTS website to see how you might hook up with these folks and support them if led. The needs in and around Arusha, where missionaries Elton and Barbara Cooke are located are overwhelming. Yet it is obvious how much is being accomplished through their dedication and love for the Maasai. Tending to orphans, entire communities ravaged by AIDS and anyone in need, they are truly an extension of God’s love for the broken.

Elton and Barbara are supported through donations from the USA. Anyone can make a donation and as always, any amount helps these days. They are surrounded by a wonderful board and I thank God I have had the privilege of crossing their path.
